The artists for the Wednesday Recital of 31st July, 2024, were Jessica Ghatak and Moupali Chowdhury. The first performance was delivered by Jessica Ghatak, a Scholar of the Academy under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty and Shri Brajeswar Mukherjee. She began the recital with a vilambit khayal in Raga Bhimpalasi. This was followed by a traditional drut composition of the Raga set in Teentaal. She concluded her performance with a dadra in Raga Pilu. Jessica was accompanied by Shri Bivash Sanghai on the Tabla and Shri Jyotirmoy Banerjee on the Harmonium.
The next artist was Moupali Chowdhury, a Scholar under Vidushi Subhra Guha. Moupali began her performance with a vilambit khayal in Raga Kamod. Next, she sang a drut composition of the Raga set in Ektaal. Moupali concluded the recital with a traditional thumri in Raga Bhairavi, “Raske bhare tore nain”. She was accompanied by Smt. Rupashree Bhattacharya on the Harmonium and Shri Bivash Sanghai on the Tabla.
