The audience remained witness to a special Wednesday Recital featuring Shri Ayan Sengupta and Shri Sagar Morankar on 21st August, 2024. Ayan and Sagar, both Musician Tutors at the Academy delivered a unique Jugalbandi of Sitar and Dhrupad. They began their performances with Alaaps and Jors in Raga Shree. This was followed by compositions set in Dhamar and Rupak Taals.
Next, they performed Raga Gaud Malhar with compositions set in Sultaal and Jhaptaal. The recital was concluded with a composition of the Raga set in Teentaal. Sagar was accompanied by Shri Ashis Paul on the Tabla, while Ayan was accompanied by Shri Ashoke Mukherjee on the Tabla.
