The artists for the Wednesday Recital of 28th August, 2024, were Ruta Deshmukh and Amaan Hussain. The first performance was delivered by Ruta Deshmukh, a Scholar of the Academy under Shri Omkar Dadarkar. She began the recital with a vilambit khayal in Raga Yaman. This was followed by a drut composition set in Teentaal. She concluded with a bhajan. Ruta was accompanied by Shri Ashoke Mukherjee on the Tabla, Shri Gourab Chatterjee on the Harmonium and Pratishtha Chitratpal on the Tanpura.
The next artist was Amaan Hussain, a Scholar of the Academy under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. Amaan also takes talim from his father, Janab Sarwar Hussain. He began his performance with a composition in Raga Gorakh Kalyan set in vilambit Ektaal. Next, he played a drut composition of the Raga set in Teentaal. He was accompanied by Shri Bivash Sanghai on the Tabla and Sudeepto Chakraborty on the Swarmandal.
