The artists for the Wednesday Recital, 25th September, 2024 were Pranjal Ghatak and Prajwal Shirke. The first performance was delivered by Pranjal Ghatak, Junior Scholar of the Academy under Shri Paramananda Roy. He began his performance with a composition in Raga Bhupali, set in vilambit Rupak Taal. This was followed by two compositions of the Raga set in madhyalaya and drut teentaal. He was accompanied by Shri Ashoke Mukherjee on the Tabla.
The next performer was Prajwal Shirke, Scholar of the Academy under Shri Omkar Dadarkar. He began his performance with a vilambit khayal in Raga Malkauns. This was followed by a composition of the Raga set in Rupak Taal. Next he sang a Tarana in the Raga set in drut Teentaal. Prajwal concluded his performance with a bhajan. He was accompanied by Shri Ashis Paul on the Tabla, Shri Gourab Chatterjee on the Harmonium and Devangbhushan Basumatary on the Tanpura.
