The artist for the Wednesday Recital, 20th November, 2024 was Shri Deborshee Bhattacharjee. He began his performance with a vilambit khayal in Raga Marwa. This was followed by a composition of the Raga set in drut Teentaal and a composition by Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty set in drut Ektaal. Next, he sang three thumri based compositions set in Jhaptaal, Ektaal and drut Teentaal.
Deborshee concluded the recital with a tappa based song, “Bhalo na bashibe jodi”, composed by Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh and a famous bhajan, “Vaishnav jan to”. He was accompanied by Shri Sanjoy Adhikary on the Tabla, Janab Sarwar Hussain on the Sarangi and Shri Gourab Chatterjee on the Harmonium. Debarpan Bhowmik, a Junior Scholar and Shreyan Sarkar, a General Class Student of the Academy accompanied him on the Tanpura.
