The first Wednesday Recital for the month of July, 2025 was opened by two erudite scholars of the Academy, Amaan Hussain and Moupali Chowdhury. The first performance was delivered by Amaan, a Scholar under Janab Sarwar Hussain and Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He began with a vilambit khayal in Raga Marwa and concluded with two compositions set to madhyalay and drut Teentaal. Amaan was accompanied by Shri Ashoke Mukhopadhyay on the Tabla.
The next performer was Moupali Chowdhury, a Scholar under Vidushi Subhra Guha. She began with a vilambit composition in Raga Bhoopali and moved on to a composition by Pandit Dinkar Kaikini, “Nahi mane Yashoda tumro Kanhai”. Moupali concluded with a bhajan. She was accompanied by Shri Ashoke Mukhopadhyay on the Tabla and Smt. Rupashree Bhattacharya on the Harmonium.
