The artists for the Wednesday Recital, 23rd July, 2025 were Devangbhushan Basumatary and Koustav Roy. The first performance was delivered by Devangbhushan, a Scholar with Shri Omkar Dadarkar. He began with a vilambit composition in Raga Marwa. This was followed by two composition of the Raga set to madhyalay teentaal and drut ektaal. Devangbhushan was accompanied by Shri Ashis Paul on the Tabla and Shri Jyotirmoy Banerjee on the Harmonium.
The next artist was Koustav Roy, a Scholar with Shri Abir Hossain. Kaustav began with a vilambit rupak composition in Raga Maru Bihag. This was followed by a composition set to drut ektaal. He concluded with a bhajan, “Baje muraliya…”. Koustav was accompanied by Shri Ashoke Mukherjee on the table.
