Kumar Bose - Anindo Chatterjee
Pandit Kumar Bose belongs to the Benaras Gharana style of tabla playing. Having honed his skills under the tutelage of the legendary Pandit Kishan Maharaj, Pandit Bose rose to prominence with his flamboyant performances with Pandit Ravi Shankar. In a career spanning more than four decades, Pandit Kumar Bose has established himself as one of the leading exponents of the tabla and an internationally recognised face in the world of Indian Classical Music. He received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2007.
Pandit Anindo Chatterjee is a rare luminary of Indian Classical Music who attained new heights of perfection & finesse in the art of table playing ever since his taalim began in his early childhood under Padmabhusan Guru Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh. Pandit Chatterjee has developed a distinctly individual style which truly reflects authentic knowledge, phenomenal taiyyari and supreme command of the idioms of his instruments. In recognition of his profound understanding of Music and outstanding sense of presentation with perfection, he has been honoured with the “Sangeet Natak Akademy Award” being presented in the year 2002.
