Gopa Kanjilal

Gopa Kanjilal was initiated into classical music by her grandfather Late Smarajit Kanjilal. She was a research scholar at ITC SRA between 1978 and 1980. During her research on Classical music, she was under the able guidance of Ishtiaque Hussain Khan of Rampur Gharana and Latafat Hussain Khan of Agra-Atrauli Gharana. After leaving the Academy, she has made a name for herself in light music. Here is an excerpt from a recent performance of Gopa`s.
