Ayan Sengupta
Ayan Sengupta
Ayan was trained in Sitar by Pandit Manilal Nag and Pandit Kushal Das. He joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a Scholar in 2011, under Pandit Partha Chatterjee. He continues to learn under Pandit Partha Chatterjee and Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. Ayan is presently a Musician Tutor at the Academy.
He stood first in the All India Radio Music Competition Kolkata and the Dover Lane Music Competition Kolkata in 2007.
Ayan has performed at prestigious platforms such as the Darbar Festival London in 2023. He is also an A Grade artist of the All India Radio.
Deborshee Bhattacharjee
Deborshee Bhattacharjee
Deborshee was trained in vocal music by his mother, Reena Bhattacharjee. He joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a Scholar in 2008, under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He is presently a Musician Tutor at the Academy.
Deborshee has performed at prestigious platforms such as the ITC Sangeet Sammelan Kolkata in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2022. He has also performed at the Bengal Foundation’s Music Festival at Dhaka in 2012.
Deborshee has travelled abroad with his performance to countries such as USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, China, Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He is a recipient of awards and acknowledgements from the Gaanwardhan Institute Pune in 2009 and the Pandit Ravi Kichlu foundation in 2003.
Deborshee is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Hindustani Instrumental Music. He is a regular performer and an A Grade artist at the All India Radio.
Paramananda Roy
Paramananda Roy
Paramananda was trained in playing the Flute by his father, Pandit Gopal Roy. He joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a Scholar in 2016, under Pandit Partha Chatterjee. Paramananda later started receiving training under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty. He is presently a Musician Tutor at the Academy, continuing to receive guidance from Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty.
Paramananda is an empaneled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. He has performed at prestigious platforms such as Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre Nalbari in 2019. He has also performed at the ITC Sangeet Sammelan Kolkata in 2016, 2017 and 2019.
Paramananda has performed solo concerts extensively in Germany and Denmark. He is a regular performer on All India Radio and Doordarshan. He also serves as Tutor of Instrumental Music at The Academy of Folk Arts, IIT Kharagpur.
Sagar Morankar
Sagar Morankar
Sagar joined the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in 2012 as a Junior Scholar under Pandit Uday Bhawalkar. He is presently a Musician Tutor at the Academy.
Sagar is a recipient of the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, 2006. He is also a recipient of the Sahitya Rang Bhoomi Scholarship for 2010.
Sagar received the Promising Hindustani Musician Award from the Rotary Club of Madras in 2018.
Sarwar Hussain
Sarwar Hussain
Sarwar Hussain is an accomplished musician in the younger generation of Sarangi
exponents in India. His playing embodies delicacy as well as sound technique which
he picked up from his grandfather, the renowned sarangi exponent Ustad Abdul Latif
Khan.
An A grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan, Sarwar has received many
awards for his outstanding performance including the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva
Puraskar. Sarwar has been a faculty member of ITC SRA since 2009.
Rupashree Bhattacharya
Rupashree Bhattacharya
Having learnt from her musician father, Shri Durga Chandra Bhattacharya, then from Shri Ashit Bandopadhyay, Vidushi Shipra Bose and Shri Sanjay Chakrabarty, Rupashree was an ITC Sangeet Research Academy Scholar between 1996 and 2002, training under Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty of the Patiala Gharana. She received a National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and came 1st in the East Zonal finals at the ITC SRA Golden Talent Scholarship. Noticing her innate talent in playing the Harmonium, her Guru gradually guided her through the intricacies and exacting standards of accompaniment. Maturing into a sensitive and unobtrusive accompanist, she has been a faculty member of ITC Sangeet Research Academy since 2002.
A B-High graded artiste of All India Radio, Rupashree regularly broadcasts Shyama sangeet and bhajan. She has participated in almost all classical conference of Kolkata, accompanying great maestros like Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, Vidushi Girija Devi, Pandit Arun Bhaduri, Pandit Amiya Ranjan Banerjee, Vidushi Subhra Guha, Vidushi Ashwini Bhide and many others.
