The most awaited ITC Sangeet
Sammelan, 2025, was held at the lawns of the Academy on 5th, 6th
and 7th December. The Sammelan featured a range of artists this
year, including veterans like Begum Parveen Sultana and Pandit Ajoy
Chakrabarty. Parveen Sultana received the ITC Sangeet Samman, 2025, which was
handed over to her by the member of the trustee board, Mr. Nazeeb Arif. Sultana
also delivered a captivating performance in Ragas Puriya Dhyaneshree, Maluha
Maand and Bhairavi. She was accompanied by Pandit Jyoti Goho on the Harmonium
and Pandit Mukundraj Deo on the Tabla. The audience also listened to the
performances delivered by Pranjal Ghatak and Shri Brajeswar Mukherjee with
great excitement.
Day two of the Sammelan
accentuated stalwarts like Vidushi Subha Guha, Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Pandit
Suresh Talwalkar, Pandit Uday Bhawalkar and Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande.
The Mridnag Keertan by Suresh Talwalkar and his troop set the rhythmic atmosphere
for the night. Performances by Kalyan Majumdar, Ranjani and Gayatri, Deborshee
Bhattacharjee, Mehtab Ali Niazi, Yadnesh Raikar, S Akash, Ishaan Ghosh and Sai
Giridhar were also received with immense praise by the audience.
Day three was the closing day of
the event. The soiree started with solo performances by Meher Paralikar and
Kasturi Joshi. The recital reached the zenith during a Tabla duet by Pandit
Nayan Ghosh and Ishaan Ghosh and lastly a performance by Shri Omkar Dadarkar.
